D20x8(+9) Lovecraftian Entities That Didn’t Make The Cut
Why do some generators take hours to finish and others months? Truly a question only Great Cthulhu could answer. Alternative opening line: Blogger's interface is itself a Lovecraftian entity.
For some reason the generator doesn’t work from the main page, only when this post is opened specifically, so do that as it’s much faster than rolling manually.

D20
Beware it,
1
for it hungers for dreaming brains.
2
for it cannot be killed permanently by mortal means.
3
for the sorcerers it seems to serve are in fact controlled by it.
4
for it is the vanguard of a coming horde.
5
for its touch inflicts a gruesome infection.
6
for it can slip through other dimensions and appear to teleport.
7
for the mere glimpse of its visage can paralyze mortals with fear.
8
for it shrugs off terrestrial magic.
9
for the form you see is only the one your mind can process, and its true shape is more terrible yet.
10
for if it is not stopped soon it will metamorphose into an even more awful form.
11
for it can shoot sweet laser beams.
12
for its presence brings unnatural gigantism and proliferation to weeds and pests.
13
for it can channel the magics of its alien patron.
14
for it can disguise itself as a human and dominate mortal minds.
15
for it can birth packs of lesser servitors in moments.
16
for the longer it remains here the more the world around it will come to resemble its origin.
17
for those it kills rise in paradoxical, rampaging half-life.
18
for it can induce phantasmagoric visions of its home.
19
for any wound you inflict on it will be reflected on your own body.

The paperelemental generator-generator probably has the same issue mine used to have, if there are multiple generators on the same page (like the front page, since several are loaded at once) then they will conflict. Mine doesn't have that issue! (I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to figure out why)

ReplyDeleteI figured out the problem! Both my and Angus' generators use a function named 'r', but the two functions do slightly different things.
ReplyDeleteSo whenever both kinds of generator are present on a page, they conflict.
I went back to my code and renamed the function 'r' to 'rD', so now our generators should be able to coexist peacefully.
So glad my two favourite random generator facilitators were able to figure this out
DeleteBy what means have you uncovered my step mother's secret form?
