such as by eating meat or fighting "honourably".

the mundane earth-world and the sacred sky-world. Trespassing priests

their own teeth if they're unable to reach and thrash the insulting
ratatosk within a short time.

in humiliating shapes on their victim's face if they can't come back

can become literal barbs in the flesh of their victims if they visibly react emotionally to them.

sting like salt in wounds and in the eyes, increasing pain and causing blindness through excessive tears.

are minor curses that make themselves true - call someone clumsy, and it becomes so.

these ratatosks are often polyglots, and some of the best translators in
the region.

misleadingly.
