D20x5 Eccentric Elves

Converted my from here post reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/d100/comments/95elrz/d20x5_eccentric_elves/

Eat my whole ass Keebler

D20 These Elves Are Feared Because...
1 They steal babies and replace them with glamour-disguised piglets.
2 No one meets them without losing a piece of their mind.
3 They owe a teind of souls to hell every seven years.
4 They mislead travellers in the wilds with fairy-lights.
5 Human flesh is a delicacy to them.
6 Their touch is as cold as ice.
7 No bindings can hold them, no locks can bar their way.
8 They want to make us like them.
9 Food spoils in their presence.
10 This world was once theirs before humanity usurped them.
11 The ones they kill don’t stop screaming until hours after they die.
12 Good and evil are hobbies to them.
13 Nature bends to their will.
14 The wrong things make them laugh and cry.
15 Their music makes human ears bleed.
16 They curse the gods under their breath yet are not stricken down.
17 No wound from a mundane weapon hinders them for long.
18 They know your name even if they never could’ve heard of you before.
19 Their revenge is either grossly disproportionate or surprisingly minor.
20 Beetles and bees are their spies, and inform them when people speak ill of elves.
D20 These Elves Are Sought Out Because...
1 They can teach otherwise impossible magical workings.
2 The fruits they grow are euphoric and addictive.
3 They know the paths to other worlds and into the realm of dreams.
4 They can heal any wound and cure any sickness.
5 They can retrieve things lost to time.
6 Their crafts are unmatched by mortal artisans.
7 They can bestow blessings which are passed on through bloodlines.
8 They can grant true sight.
9 They can make perfect forgeries.
10 They can bring fertility to the barren.
11 There’s a bounty out on all their heads.
12 They’ll give gold in exchange for teeth.
13 They share the secret of longevity with those who please them.
14 Only keeping them happy will keep them away.
15 Eating their hearts grants the gift of the gab.
16 They know how the world began, and how it will end.
17 Their glamours can change your form.
18 They can eat the sin right off your soul.
19 They can wreak unspeakable ruin upon your enemies for the right price.
20 They know how to kill gods.
D20 These Elves Might Have With Them...
1 A spear made of straw spun into bronze. It unerringly points towards the hearts of those who have broken an oath with its wielder.
2 A mobile of woven horse hair and mouse skulls. It will absorb the nightmares of the one whose bed it’s hung above. Smashing one of the mouse skulls will release a nightmare into the waking realm.
3 A pouch of iridescent powder. If eaten, it is a tasteless poison. If snorted, it will temporarily render you invisible. If smoked, it will let you see the unseen.
4 A handful of wet grubs. They will eat truthful words off a page and regurgitate them as plausible lies.
5 A tiny man in a jar, in equally tiny clothes. He claims to have been kidnapped and begs to be returned to his family. If the jar is opened or broken his insides will expand to normal size faster than his outsides and he will die.
6 A mask shaped like a donkey’s face. If worn will fuse to your face and turn your head into a donkey’s.
7 A bundle of elfshot, stone arrows that cause seizures, strokes, and paralysis instead of normal wounds.
8 An iron horseshoe covered in feces and wrapped in lead foil.
9 A tamed bandersnatch with a leash made of cats’ footsteps.
10 A gaggle of slaves whose hair has been shaved off and glued back on in elegant patterns.
11 A jagged key. Any door unlocked with it will open to the otherworld.
12 A gem which gleams like starlight. Any who see it would kill to possess it.
13 A set of pan pipes. Played through the normal end they’re ordinary pipes, but when played through the other end their tune compels children to follow mindlessly.
14 An effigy of autumn leaves. It will take on the appearance of the first person to touch it, though freshly dead.
15 A spool of rope which cannot be untied by anyone it entangles.
16 A blackened bone which turns water it stirs into toxic sludge.
17 An engraved acorn cup. If a pregnant woman drinks from it, her child will be an elf.
18 A bag full of burs. Any herbivore with one of these burs caught in their fur will gain an insatiable hunger for flesh. Any predators with the same will become fearful.
19 A stinking ointment that will allow anyone it’s spread on to fly until it dries.
20 A two-headed monkey which spits fire from one head and lingering darkness from the other. It loathes humanity.
D20 These Elves Appear Like...
1 Beautiful, androgynous people who float an inch off the ground.
2 Wizened, tiny old folk.
3 Jolly, rotund, rosy-cheeked fellows.
4 Pointy-eared figures out of a horny teenager’s wet dream.
5 Pale warriors wearing silver armour.
6 Delicately-features sorts with mushroom caps instead of hair atop their heads. Beware the ones with red caps most of all.
7 Wild-eyed ferals with subtle animalistic features.
8 Sharp-toothed and cyanotic children.
9 They’re exceptionally tall and gaunt, like people stretched to inhuman heights.
10 They’re luminous and indistinct, like you’re seeing them out of the corner of your eye even when you’re looking straight at them.
11 Cow-tailed and horse-eared oafs.
12 Slender, sharp-eared people whose bodies bend at strange angles.
13 Green-skinned nymphs with branches tangled in their hair.
14 They’re inscribed head to toe with occult runes.
15 Idealized ancestors from before the fall, like they just stepped out of a saga.
16 Bug-eyed striplings with soft hair like a moth’s.
17 Damp-haired boys and maidens clothed in gauze.
18 Elk-horned, always-weeping hermits.
19 Something wearing an ill-fitting human skin. It hangs loosely in some places and pokes outwards in others, like at the tips of their ears.
20 They’re carved from wood.
D20 But These Elves Truly...
1 Are hollow from the back.
2 Appear as withered corpses when glimpsed in a reflection.
3 Have the lower bodies of goats. Noticing this enrages them.
4 Look like painted mannequins in direct sunlight.
5 Have eyes that are completely black, like a doll, or a shark. Staring into them for too long can make you forget.
6 Are flowers, worn tucked behind an ear or in a corsage. The apparent body is a puppet.
7 Are revealed to be lumpy grotesques in the presence of ringing bells.
8 Have no bodies beneath their clothing. Exposed parts simply float in the air.
9 Are mass hallucinations.
10 Disguise themselves (often poorly) as ordinary humans.
11 Have no real form. They are mercurial shapeshifters.
12 Have spiders and centipedes and other venomous vermins crawling under their skin and through their veins.
13 Have masks for faces. They’re always looking to trade up.
14 Look like oozing worms hidden beneath the earth.Their other appearance is a psychic projection.
15 Are airy spirits who wear flesh like we wear hats.
16 Warp the living things they possess into this form.
17 Appear as they’re expected to.
18 Can change size at will.
19 Resemble beasts with the faces of humans when the full moon shines.
20 Will drive you mad should you see the form beneath their glamours.
